You read the label on their food. Now read it on their socks.
Raw, undyed organic cotton. No dyes, no bleach, no brighteners, no biocides. The same standard you hold their meals to, applied to the layer against their skin all day. Sizes for ages 2-16.
Smaller bodies. Thinner skin. More hours in their socks.
Children's skin is thinner and more permeable than an adult's, and they spend more of the day in their socks - running, sweating, growing. Their feet carry the same dense network of sweat glands packed into a smaller surface, kept warm and damp inside a shoe for hours.
That's the case for caring more about what their socks are made of, not less. With STROMA there is simply less in the equation: no dye, no bleach, no brightener, no biocide. Cotton, and the disclosure to prove it.
A child's sock is often the most treated garment they own.
Bright colours mean dyes. Brilliant white means bleach and optical brighteners. Stays-new shape means resin finishes. Odour-control means antimicrobial biocides. Marketed as features - sitting in the fabric, against skin that absorbs more than yours.
STROMA leaves all of it out and shows you the list, so what's in it is something you can actually check before it goes on their feet.

Seamless hand-linked toe, so there is no ridge to rub small toes. A Y-Gore heel pocket that stays put through a day of movement. A ribbed leg that holds up without digging in. The softness is the raw cotton itself - pre-softened with a natural citric-acid wash, nothing synthetic.

Parent FAQ
Are these safe for sensitive or eczema-prone skin?
There is no dye, bleach, brightener, finish, or biocide in them - the additives most often behind contact irritation are simply absent. We can't diagnose a child's skin, but we can tell you exactly what is and isn't in the sock, in full, so you can decide with their doctor.
Why undyed instead of a fun colour?
Colour means dye applied to fabric that sits on skin all day. We chose to leave it out. The natural off-white is the cotton's own tone.
No anti-odour treatment for active kids?
Right - that treatment is a biocide held in the fabric. Untreated organic cotton breathes and releases moisture instead of trapping it. A normal wash and a chance to air out does the job.
What's in them?
93–95% organic cotton and 5–7% bio-based elastane. Nothing else — that's the whole point of publishing the list.
The first thing you should ask about their socks is what's in them. We already answered it. In full.
